Sagrada Madre means "Holy Mother," Pancha Mama, and this name refers to their approach to the Earth's resources. To harvest Palo Santo, Sagrada Madre uses only the older branches that have naturally fallen from the tree. They work directly with indigenous communities in Peru and Argentina to plant Palo Santo trees and combat deforestation. Sagrada Madre also strives to plant more trees than they consume.
